Using a regular playmat is what most players do, but a classic duel with some real life dueling disks is an awesome experience.
There are several dueling disks in real life, with different designs and services.
Some Duel Disks featured in the series are epic and should be known by all Yugioh players everywhere.
This list will rank the top 10 best dueling discs ever seen in Yugioh, with entries from real life and from the Yugioh TV series.
Unfortunately, real-life dueling disks for a small price don’t exist. You’d have to search eBay or contact private sellers to get one.
Also visit boot sales, charity shops, and other game stores. Sometimes they contain Duel Disks for a small price, since they don’t know how much they’re really worth!
10. Axel Brodie Duel Disk
Axel Brodie’s dueling disk, which doubles as a real weapon (that shoots cards), is incredibly unique.
Sporting a dark gold color scheme to suit the rest of his style, I was hoping to see similar duel discs in the future.
9. GX Duel Disk
Loved by many in the Yugioh community for its nostalgic look, the GX Duel Disk was made famous in the sequel to the original Yugioh series.
Used by popular characters like yuki jaden & Zane Truesdalehas seen many epic duels.
8. Crowler’s Duel Disk
Dr. Vellian Crowler was a professor at Duel Academy and had a doctorate in dueling.
As such, he was full of confidence and arrogance. He had to have a duel disk to suit his reputation, so he somehow acquired the awesomeness you see above.
This duel disk has the best draw system ever seen, with the deck located in the chest, rather than the duel disk itself.
7. 5Ds Duel Disk
Respecting previous designs while retaining a modernized look, the 5Ds Duel Disk is another fan favorite.
5Ds kicked off the Synchro era, and many Duelists today have grown up watching the series.
It’s a shame they haven’t released a real-life variant 🙁
6. Gill Randsborg Duel Disk
Dueling on a shield should be a liberating experience, but sadly, it is an experience that only Gill Randsborg can experience.
His unique duel disk is unlike anything seen up to that point and still stands today.
5. Red Osiris Duel Disk
Another duel disk with a real life variant, one that is particularly rare.
The cheapest you’ll get it is around £300.
Using it in real life, even to duel your son/daughter, would be an amazing story.
4. Supreme King’s Duel Disk
Jaden Yuki became the Supreme king in the Dark World, until Axel Brodie dueled him to a draw.
Upon activating his duel disk, it will spin like blades before emerging as an intimidating array of card zones.
We’ve seen plenty of dark-themed duel discs over the years, but this is one of the best.
3. Chaos Duel Disk
Use for dartsas well as the only duelist to defeat the pharaoh in a direct fight, raphael.
Available in real life as well, this orichalc-based duel disk is awesome, but still comes with a hefty price tag.
One of my friends has this duel disk and I’m so jealous!
2. Kaiba Virtual Disk
Despite being almost entirely virtual, this duel disk has gained more than enough streaks to warrant its spot on this list.
Single look how he uses it vs Aigami in the movie The Dark Side of Dimensions.
For a dueling disk to be so powerful that it can harness the power of an Egyptian god is amazing!
1. Battle City Duel Disk
The original and classic duel disk.
Millions of people will recognize this duel disk, whether they’ve played Yugioh or not.
It exists in real life, I even have one.
My mother bought it for 50 pence at a car dealership. Now worth around £50!
But I will never sell it as it is the best dueling disk ever seen on Yugioh.
